About

Watching our father create a contemporary coffee table on a simple plywood base using reclaimed ceramic tiles and a puddle of grout – watching him build amazing wall sculptures from strips of recycled juice tins and a lick of black spray paint – holding the solder for him as he closed the umpteenth connection on the circuit board of a do-it-yourself-kit he was completing with used spare parts…

These were everyday occurrences at our house. We didn’t know he was doing anything out of the ordinary – we thought every dad knew how to do these things. We didn’t realize we were learning how to renew, reuse and re-purpose, long before “thinking green” was cool.

We absorbed these principles at our father’s knee. He showed us that by thinking outside the box, we could create beautiful home furnishings and accessories at a fraction of the cost of buying them ready made.

By taking a few simple steps, you, too, can enjoy beautiful things, save money, and help protect our environment.
